In 2017, the Rohingya refugee crisis forced over one million people to flee Myanmar to escape genocide and ethnic cleansing. Seeking safety, most found refuge in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, where makeshift camps rapidly emerged. Today, approximately 1.3 million refugees live there.
